Meet the Team
Madison Gartside
Rescue Director
Madison has been working for All Aboard since July 2017. She has always been a huge animal lover, bringing home animals in need from the time she could walk. She has always been empathetic and understanding to all creatures. She has been volunteering and working with animals since she was 14 years old. as well as volunteering at a wolf sanctuary before getting involved with All Aboard. It has always been her dream to have a career that makes a difference in the lives of animals in need, giving them a voice! She attended CSU for two years for Wildlife Conservation and Art before dedicating all her time to AAAR. Other than rescuing and loving on animals, Madison spends her short-lived free time reading, out in nature, and creating art! She describes animal rescue as a lifestyle!
Cassie Millar
Assistant Director & Foster Coordinator
Cassie has been working for All Aboard since February of 2023. Her involvement in animal welfare has been a long time coming! Cassie had a heart for animals from a young age as most animal lovers do, but only broke into her passion in recent years, specifically during the pandemic. She thought, “Hey, if the world is gonna end, I need to be doing something important!” These days you can find her coordinating all of your foster needs and helping Madison and the crew make AAAR everything it can be! In her downtime Cassie loves to rollerskate & spend time with her two dogs, Calluna and Woody in the mountains. Cassie’s favorite part of working in animal rescue is helping the shy dogs come out of their shell and find their special someone!
Aly Echanove
Adoption Coordinator
Aly has always been a huge animal lover. She has volunteered at countless shelters, zoos, and wildlife centers. She began working in veterinary medicine in 2017 and while she absolutely loves it, she felt the call to help animals in a different way. In August of 2023 she became a foster for AAAR and quickly fell in love. Once Cassie asked her to join the Kitty Committee she was hooked. After coordinating kitty adoptions for a few months, she officially joined the team as an adoption coordinator in July of 2024. Aly lives with her high school sweetheart, their bearded dragon, 2 kitties, and 2 Border Collie mixes, one of which is blind and an AAAR foster fail. When she’s not helping animals get adopted or managing a local doggy daycare and boarding facility, you can find her hiking, running, or training with her Border Collies.
Kayla Heck
Adoption Coordinator
Kayla, similar to all the staff has enjoyed being around animals since she was little. She has always wanted to be a Veterinarian since a child and when going to school it proved to be more difficult than expected so she has been finding ways to be around animals since. In January 2024 she had a friend who would post about fostering and she decided this was something she wanted to do. She came to every event and started putting all her time into helping save animals. In February 2024 she was asked about joining foster committee and from there she was hooked even more. Since volunteering/fostering in Janurary she has fostered 7 pups and her most recent, Jane a pittie mix who became her foster fail. Since late July she has been added onto the staff as an adoption coordinator! You can find her hanging out at the rescue or spending time with her 2 cats Dash and Scoot and of course her dog Jane.
Emma Krier
Volunteer Coordinator
Emma first started as a foster for All Aboard in May of 2023, and became part of the team in June 2023 by running the home inspection program. In August of 2023, she started as the Doggy Day Out Coordinator, showcasing our pups to the public! Now she’s our Volunteer Coordinator! Emma has been surprising her parents with animals such as bearded dragons, tortoises, and more ever since she can remember. She is currently a student at Colorado State University working towards a Bachelors in Global Environmental Sustainability. Emma has since foster failed a mini pitbull named Diana Ross who is her heart and soul. She is a huge advocate and lover of all bully breeds and has a strong passion when it comes to giving animals a second chance. Since being with All Aboard, she has learned so much about training and behavior with dogs and strives to teach people her age the same things she has learned. In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time outdoors, being with her friends and family, and (of course) hanging with her dog!
Julie Gartside
Office Administrator
Julie started volunteering for her daughter Madison since 2018 and working for All Aboard Animal Rescue since March 2023. She has always had a huge heart for the dogs that need extra love. Julie had been a Business Owner for 7 years and spent 10 years as a Real Estate Broker in Indiana and Colorado. In recent years she worked in Office Administration, Human Resources, and Bookkeeping.
