Meet the Team

Madison Gartside
Rescue Director
Madison has been working for All Aboard since July 2017. She has always been a huge animal lover, bringing home animals in need from the time she could walk. She has always been empathetic and understanding to all creatures. She has been volunteering and working with animals since she was 14 years old. as well as volunteering at a wolf sanctuary before getting involved with All Aboard. It has always been her dream to have a career that makes a difference in the lives of animals in need, giving them a voice! She attended CSU for two years for Wildlife Conservation and Art before dedicating all her time to AAAR. Other than rescuing and loving on animals, Madison spends her short-lived free time reading, out in nature, and creating art! She describes animal rescue as a lifestyle!

Emma Krier
Foster Coordinator

Aly Echanove
Adoption Coordinator
Aly has always been a huge animal lover. She has volunteered at countless shelters, zoos, and wildlife centers. She began working in veterinary medicine in 2017 and while she absolutely loves it, she felt the call to help animals in a different way. In August of 2023 she became a foster for AAAR and quickly fell in love. Once the foster coordinator asked her to join the Kitty Committee she was hooked. After coordinating kitty adoptions for a few months, she officially joined the team as an adoption coordinator in July of 2024. Aly lives with her high school sweetheart, their bearded dragon, 2 kitties, and 2 Border Collie mixes, one of which is blind and an AAAR foster fail. When she’s not helping animals get adopted or managing a local doggy daycare and boarding facility, you can find her hiking, running, or training with her Border Collies.

Kayla Heck
Adoption Coordinator
Kayla has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember. She first joined All Aboard in January 2024 as a foster and volunteer, and her passion quickly stood out. By February, she was invited to join the foster committee, where she discovered just how much she loved being part of the rescue. Since then, Kayla has fostered seven pups—one of which became her beloved foster fail Jane, a sweet pittie mix. Her dedication and heart for rescue work led her to officially join the staff in July 2024 as an Adoption Coordinator. Outside of the rescue, you can usually find Kayla hanging with her friends or with her own little crew: her two mischievous cats, Dash and Scoot, and her dog Jane, who’s always ready for an adventure. From volunteering, fostering, and now working with All Aboard, Kayla has turned her lifelong love for animals into something truly meaningful—and she’s just getting started.

Macy Cronin
Volunteer Coordinator
Macy first began as a volunteer for All Aboard in February of 2024, and then started fostering in August of 2024. She has fostered countless dogs and cats in this time and started helping with home inspections for the rescue later in 2024. In this time she has continued onward to become the Home Inspection Coordinator, the Doggy Day Outing Coordinator, and then finally the Volunteer Coordinator! Helping animals has always been a passion of Macy and she is pursuing a career in it by getting a bachelors degree in Zoology at CSU. Macy does have one cat of her own named Ruth who is her pride and joy, (she loves to play fetch!). In her free time Macy enjoys hanging out with her friends, reading, and spending time outdoors! She is so excited to be a part of the All Aboard team and can’t wait to keep saving animals with this rescue!

Kim Shelton
Volunteer Coordinator
Kim Shelton started volunteering for All Aboard Animal Rescue in October of 2023 and became a Volunteer Coordinator for AAAR in July of 2025! She has always had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes. She and her family have always owned pets, and she worked throughout high school as a pet sitter for neighbors, caring for their dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep, and more. She has also volunteered for other animal-oriented groups, including Freedom Service Dogs of America and a therapeutic horseback riding organization. Kim has also volunteered at a range of other organizations over the years, including libraries, a search and rescue group, the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, and science education events. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Colorado State University, and while she continues to have a passion for science and education, her love for animals and strong desire to positively impact the people and animals in her community has led her to her position with AAAR, where she hopes to continue learning about what goes into rescuing animals, dog behavior and training, and the nonprofit space overall! Outside of AAAR, Kim enjoys spending quality time with her family (including, of course, the furbabies) and friends, hiking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, spending time in Old Town Fort Collins, or curling up with a good book or TV show!

Julie Gartside
Office Administrator
Julie started volunteering for her daughter Madison since 2018 and working for All Aboard Animal Rescue since March 2023. She has always had a huge heart for the dogs that need extra love. She has enjoyed watching her daughter grow up with such a joy for animals. She always knew Madison loved animals unconditionally and now she’s proud to work with Madison towards her dream. Julie had been a Business Owner for 7 years and spent 10 years as a Real Estate Broker in Indiana and Colorado. In recent years she worked in Office Administration, Human Resources, and Bookkeeping. Julie spends most of her time hanging out with her family, fur-babies, and enjoying the outdoors. Her favorite place to be is at the river just listening and watching for wildlife.
